KRYSTAL LEE IS AN AWARD-WINNING MEDIA PERSONALITY AND PUBLIC THEOLOGIAN BASED IN ATLANTA, GA.

Krys here. Let's talk about my innerfund.

My earliest financial memories are asking my parents for money and being told they didn't have it. On payday. What do you mean you don't have money if today is the day? 😐 Or learning scripture and questioning if I should even be rich.

That taught me something I didn't even know I was learning. Money leaves immediately. Even when you work hard for it. Or, pray for it?

Add to that my dad was also an entrepreneur who was chasing his dreams so instead of paying for college tuition I was signing my life away on the dotted line of a master promissory note by 17. Damn you Sallie Mae or whatever you’re called now.

The HBCU education, plus years in the entertainment industry trying to keep up with the Joneses got me into big debt. Then I had the nerve to become a second generation entrepreneur? Girl, bye.

Frustrated enough with my own money story, I started sharing it. On YouTube. On a national radio show. That work led to helping over 70,000 people start businesses with $0. Which was literally my story.

After leaving radio and entering seminary, I lost everything I thought I was building. And found everything I actually needed through financial identity work. That's where innerfund was born.

I hope this method helps you or your organization as much as it's helped me. — Krystal
